AQS Basic Case

SKU: N/A Category:

Build your own simple Air Quality Sensor using a Plantower PMS5003 and a Wemos D1 Mini, as shown in Episode 38. Download the STLs and print the case yourself, or buy it ready-made in a variety of colour options.

Printed on a Prusa i3 Mk3S using PETG, at 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle.

Note: This is a 3D-printed product, so the finish isn’t perfect and the colour may not be exactly as shown on screen. My printer is well tuned and I clean up any strands of filament, but it’s not the same as an injection-moulded case.

WARNING: The Wemos D1 Mini is cloned by many third-party factories, and I’ve seen it with every size of PCB thickness including 0.8mm, 1mm, 1.2mm, 1.4mm, and 1.6mm. The enclosure design files linked below come in two different versions. One has a slot that is 1.2mm wide (suitable for PCBs up to 1.2mm thick) and the other has a slot that is 1.6mm wide. The version with the larger slots will fit any PCB, but if you put a very thin D1 Mini in the larger slot size it may be a bit loose. Pick the size that best suits your D1 Mini.
