Many domestic devices use low power RF signals in the ISM (Industrial, Medical, Scientific) bands to send data. It’s often possible to listen to these transmissions using an Arduino or other microcontroller board connected to a simple receiver module, and decode the data for your own use. This is the start of a list of protocols that have been decoded.
